GILBERT'S "7 STEPS TO SATISFACTION" REPAIR PROCESS
7 STEPS TO SATISFACTION
Getting in an accident can immediately be traumatizing, not to mention the longterm effects on your life. Once the shock of the accident is over, we want to help make the next steps as easy for you as possible. Drop your car off with us and we'll take care of the rest with our seamless repair process.
1. Drop Off Your Vehicle
When you leave your vehicle with Gilbert Collision Center in Okeechobee, FL, we will gather your contact information and all applicable insurance company information. We will use this to help get your repaid process moving. We will verify your car's VIN, mileage, and license plate number, followed by a detailed video recording of your vehicle to document the damage. We also take note of pre-existing dents, dings, and scratches. Once we get this, we can even help you out with a rental car for a seamless transition. We will provide you an estimate of the time you will be without your vehicle so you can properly plan and communicate with you throughout the repair process.
2. Damage Assessment
Our Team will load all the information into our state-of-the-art collision center software developed by industry leader, CCC Intelligent Solutions. Our technicians will review the estimate from the insurance company and assess the damage. One thing that makes Gilbert stand out from competitors is our desire to repair your vehicle with as many Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts as possible. We also do all we can to replace parts in an economically feasible manner. We take into account the amount your insurance company has agreed to pay as well as a "supplement" of needs. Our goal is to get your car repaired on budget and in a timely manner.
3. Body Repairs
After we have an agreed price with the insurance company and all items and concerns addressed, the "heavy lifting and repairs" are in full swing. Parts fitment and structural "artistry" is time-consuming and requires great attention to detail. Our goal is to be done as quickly as possible, but it takes time to do it right and do as designed by the car manufacturer. We follow their Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)Â procedures and utilize the latest technology to accomplish our task.
4. Paint Refinishing
Most vehicles will spend about two days getting painted and refinished for moderate jobs and just a half day for small jobs. Our painter has 35 years of experience who considers painting cars an art. As such, he takes the time to get the job done right.
5. Reassembly
This is when our certified technicians ensure all components fit back together again and are working at optimal operational efficiency.
6. Quality Control and Clean-Up
After all repairs, painting, and reassembly have been completed, your car heads to our quality control department where our techs will review the car, test its functionality and take it out for a test drive if needed. We'll make any minor adjustments necessary, then give you a call to come pick up the vehicle. No vehicle leaves our shop without a thorough review.Â
7. Delivery to Customer
Once a thorough review of your vehicle has been completed, we will deliver the vehicle back to the customer in the manner they prefer. Most often customers prefer to pick their vehicle up from our Okeechobee, FL location but some request we deliver the vehicle to their home or place of business. Our goal is to start and finish your repairs in a way that is most convenient for you.
